Darkness of the starry night

Lying underneath the starry sky
Passerby must be wondering why
Pondering it to be an overtly romantic affair
But who would guess
That it’s just few last breaths of what we once reared

The romance, the truehearted unbendable love
Breathing in the last ounce of romantic air
The sweetness and affection that we once possessed
Lying here we think of the thoughts that would lay us off each other.

Now breathing out the air
We push aside the affection that resided in our space
Wishing for one last falling star
For one last wish
The wish to get over each other
To strengthen us for what lies ahead of us in this

The passerby must be awe inspired
As they vision, the façade of something so admirable
For it appears that what we are sharing is like romantic odyssey
Lost in each other.

But would they ever guess this is the calm after the storm
When we clean up the distorted path
Preparing for the funeral of the ones who are dead
The dead count includes love, faith, trust and togetherness.

For they can’t reside with misunderstanding mistrust and confusion in this broken nest

  1. soaked up in the cauldron of pain... this one chops the heart and feelings into minuscule pieces for the vultures... sorry for the gory description (too much cannibal corpse to blame)
